Text: “For we which have believed do enter into rest….” (Heb.4:3).
Assistant Pastor for the month : Pastor Esther Adekunle

Welcome to the seventh month-your month of rest. This is your month of rest—rest from anxiety,
affliction and every troubling burden. Jesus’ invitation in Matthew 11:28–30 is clear: come to Him, and
He will give you rest. Whatever is weighing on your heart—your children, your marriage, your finances,
your future—He asks you to hand it over.

Your children belong to God; their destinies are secure in His hands. His promise stands: they shall be
taught of the Lord and great shall be their peace(Isaiah 54:13). No enemy will oppress them (Psalm
89:22). Your marital destiny was settled before you were born. Your financial needs are known to
Him—He is your Shepherd, and you shall not want (Psalm 23:1). He values you far above the sparrows
and will supply all your needs (Philippians 4:19).

If you feel behind in life, remember: God restores wasted years (Joel 2:25). He can compress decades
into a single moment of breakthrough—just as He did for Joseph. If you’ve been waiting long for a
promise, do not fear. He that shall come will come and will not tarry (Hebrews 10:37). His word
concerning you will no longer be delayed (Ezekiel 12:28).

But this rest requires trust. Resting in Him means believing His promises, magnifying Him above your
circumstances, and refusing to let anxiety rule your heart. Doubt limits what He can do; faith releases
His power. Rest means praising Him even before the answer appears, being fully persuaded that He will
do what He said.
So no more sighing, no more fear. Lift your head. Trust His faithfulness and power. Your testimony has
already begun.
